Uncle Carl's wedding to Aunt Ruth (Carl was Marie's brother), June 27m 1927. I met Carl but Ruth died before I was born. Ruth was rH negative and so they could not have children. They had many collections (postcards, bells, etc). One of my very precious possessions is a set of three porcelain bells of little child Christmas angels that had belonged to Aunt Ruth.
Both pictures October 22, 1927. Left: Margaret. This is the last picture of her. Right: Dorothy.
Don't know who this is, but it is in Portland, Maine, where the Ricardo Cabezas family now lives! There is no year, but the date is 29 May. Ricardo says this is the the pier at Old Orchard Beach, it is still there (maybe rebuilt a couple times) and is about 20 minutes from Portland.
Still 29 May so presumably still in or near Portland, Maine. Andrew and Marie.
My Mom sent me this. It is undated but is probably the last picture of Margaret.
Margaret's funeral, June of 1929. Mom doesn't know how she died, but thinks it was some kind of infection.
Left: Adorable Jane, August 20, 1929. Right: I don't know. Friend or relative. Reminds me of Bud, though. This was a several-days stay with whoever it was.
25 August 1929. Left: Andrew with the three kids. Right: Marie, the girls, and probably the little boy's grandma.
My mom says this is Cousin Emma DeHahn from Perth Amboy, N.J. And the little boy is cousin Jackie, Emma's child. She thinks his dad was named Jack, but he didn't seem to be around much.
Undated. Marie and the adorable girls.
Dated September, 1929. I think that is Albertine in the black. She is with a couple in Geneseo, Illinois who were some degree of Danish cousins. Andrew and Marie kept in touch with them quite often. The girls called them "Uncle Rasmus and Taunta Gusta".
