Left: February 5, 1928. Mom said Margaret was engaged. Maybe this is the guy. Right: February 12, 1928. Margaret and Marie.
Left: Still 12 February 1928. Some unidentified friends. I'm just including it so you can check out those amazing fur coats and huge corsage. I guess they were well-to-do. The Christensen girls wore cloth coats. Right: April 8, 1928. The mega-cute Dorothy and Jane. Like so many of these pictures, these are in front of the garage in the back yard. As noted earlier, Andrew and Marie lived in Marie's childhood house until the Wethersfield house was built. Maybe Albertine lived with them. My Mom was too young to recall.
Left: Still April 8, 1928. Complete with fluttering laundry! Right: July 4, 1928, an Independence Day trip to the beach. Dorothy with a toy boat.
Both July 4 1928. Left: At the beach. Looks like Margaret and Grandma Albertine with the kids. Right: Andrew and Marie, Dorothy and Jane.
July 7, 1928. The ship is the "Fredrick VIII". Albertine must be going to the old country for a visit.
September 24, 1928. The ship is the "United States". Albertine coming home. They visited friends the day before but no one knows who they are so I didn't scan the pictures. The port? Who knows. Boston or, more likely, New York.
Left: the picture says 16 December 1928 but they sure aren't dressed for it. Albertine brought these dolls back from Europe for the girls. My mother's doll now belongs to my grand-daughter Margaret! Right: all it says is "1928".
