Pictures on the lawn: Jane and Dorothy, September 1941. So Jane was turning 14. Center picture (sorry I can't sharpen it up): This is a picture that Bill took with a portrait lens attachment and Dot was in the hospital". Print is dated Aug 4 1941. Dot: Petersons had good neighbors, Bill and Dorothy Mosher, a young couple who were just starting their family. (They stayed in touch, and their little girl Joyce was the flower girl in Martha's wedding.) The Petersons called Dorothy Mosher "Dot". No information on why she was in the hospital. The preceding is Jane's version. Betty says Dot was Dorothy Vosgian, who appears in the Sunday school picnic photo below.

Some stuff that was out of place. Colorized girl scout picture, 1940; November 1943 (age 16); November 1944 (age 17); and a 1938 Christmas card. Nate that in the 1943 pic her teeth were retouched to be straight. She always wished they were, but it was not an option in those days. Also, seeing the Girl Scout picture, she reminisced that she and her Girl Scout friends used to get together once a week after school to do needlework and gab. Until one fine day her mother prohibited her from taking part ever again. She was devastated and she was never told why.

January 28, 1943. First good snowstorm of the year. Mother Marie, Dorothy, Jane. Marie looks so much like Jane did at that age!

June 25, 1943. Grandpa Andrew, age 43, Grandma Marie, age 40, Dorothy almost 18, Jane, 15 and a half, and Martha, 11 and a half. Four pictures are in the the back yard of 111 Coleman Rd, Wethersfield, in the corner formed by the garage. Dorothy, I'm guessing, is at the end of the back yard, with the house behind the photographer.
