Margaret and her dolly, 1917. So we have backed up a couple years. She was about 12. Her name was Dorothy Margaret. I wonder why she went by Margaret, or, why Aunt Dorothy was not named Margaret.

"Graduation, Jan. 1920" I would have thought June, but it says January, and you can see the snow on the ground. This is Margaret, and she is 14, so I guess it is 9th grade. And like her sister Marie, I assume this was the end of her schooling.

This begins a bunch of pictures from April 30, 1920. From other captions I know this was at a relative's house in New Haven. The caption is "Flash light picture take in the parlor". Marie must be on the left. What interests me is the pictures on the wall: a generation or two further back.

So this would be the relative's house in New Haven.

These are the New Haven relatives. A note from my cousin Susan says "Uncle Rasmus and Aunt Lottie". The caption is "Uncle and Aunt on Silver Wedding Day". The caption on the right is "Sisters", so Albertine and Lottie were sisters.

A note from Susan says this was their daughter Marie (and the caption is "Marie"). She was developmentally disabled. Another note says that they had a son, Clarence, but I can't identify a picture of him.

The caption is "Grandpa", so this is Marie's grandfather, either Soren Christensen (Niel's father), or Albertine's father. No information on the latter at all, but this is in New Haven at Albertine's sister's house. So it probably is Albertine's father.

May 2, 1920, caption "All dressed up". From pictures taken in East Rock Park, I can tell they are still in New Haven, or in New Haven again.
