There were a couple of photos in loose, that are older than the ones in the albums. This is Marie, age 2 or 3 from the looks of it, so in 1905 or 1906.

My Mom's note on this: "Probably correct. Margaret and Marie Christensen maybe ages 3 yrs and 5 yrs in 1908".
Margaret was actually her middle name, her first name being Dorothy. The references in the albums all are to "Margaret". My Mom's sister, my Aunt Dorothy, clearly got her name from Margaret.

My Mom's note on this is "Discard this O.K.? No clue as to who it is. But Nancy and I wonder if it might be my grandpa Andrew Peterson, who married Marie. So now you can wonder, too. PS- after seeing it on the page my Mom added: "I doubt that un-labeled photo is Grandpa Peterson. We have just nothing from his childhood. With his mother dying so young (of scarlet fever), and his being bounced around in foster homes, he had absolutely nothing of memories. He did not even know he had a middle name until the war when everyone had to get early i.d.'s and his came back with 'Jason' on it."

Clearly taken in 1917, so Marie is 14 and Margaret about 12.

Still 1917, Caption is "Mother, Father, and the baby West Haven 1917". The baby is not their own. There are lots of references to West Haven. I don't know if these are friends or relatives, but I guess they had a baby!

Both say 1917. The one on the right is labeled "Our House." Most likely they moved from the one on the left into the one on the right, perhaps from rental to ownership. I wish I knew what Niels did for a living.

I got the address from my Mom, and this picture off of Google Street View. Zillow says it was built in 1900. Here are my Mom's notes: My grandparents owned a house in Hartford. Somehow my parents [that's Marie and Andrew] ended up owning it and we lived in it until we moved to the house in Wethersfield. It was a three story frame house. We lived on the 3rd floor and they rented out the first and second floors. It was on Campfield Ave. and our 3rd floor address was 34 1/2. In some of the pictures where there is a frame house, I wonder if it is the house [most definitely, Warren says]. But in 1921 etc., they may not have owned it yet. (my grandparents). I walked to kindergarten from there to Washington St. school. In 1932 (approx), when we moved to Wethersfield, I was only five, so don't remember it too well.
